Rumble In The Jungle - Malacca
Hi there again. Once again the MSVCR rose to
the occassion. The Rumble In
The Jungle was a successful outing. There were
quite a variety of cars
including Porshe, MGs, Volvos (Simon Templer), BMWs,
205 GTi, Fiat, Lancia,
Benz and of course the minis from Malaysia and
Singapore.
The afternoon was taken up by fishing competition and Imran
won the handsome
prize. The night rally took us to the outskirt of Malacca
Town and it was
interesting. I won a special prize thanks to my navigator who
did an
excellent job of chatting on the phone while reading the tulip. The
next
morning we had the Gynkhana at the ground of Wisma Negeri followed by a
one
lap sprint. The Sprint was especially fast with the Porshe 911
becoming
overall winner. The minis were not far behind one of which came
second
runner up after the BMW. Here are some pixies.
The trip was on the 3 and 4th Aug. I personally
do not want to miss this
wonderful event so I had to come back straight from
Kenyir and Kuantan direct
to Malacca.
Picture's:
Two
shining Porshe rubbing shoulder with a mini and an MGB
together with two
equally shining heads.
The Singapore minis separated from
the Malaysian mini by an MGB
The BM, Benz Roadster and even an
Austin A40, ready to do battle
at the sprint.
